Mrs Mary Sheeja Livingston, fondly called "Sheeja Mam" by her students, has over 20 years of experience in teaching primary kids. She hails from a humble background in the Hills of Ooty. Born in a family of 5, she bravely deviated from all odds and completed her Montessori training with assistance from Church.

Born in a family of 5, she bravely deviated from all odds and completed her Montessori training with assistance from Church.

She started her career as a trainee in a play school at Coonoor. Her passion towards teaching, commitment to the development of kids and focus on providing high-quality education made her a student teacher. She has travelled to various cities such as Surat, Coimbatore, and Thrissur for her work and currently has established her own Play School "Mamma’s Nest" at MeMupalayam, a small town at the foothills of Ooty.

Mrs Mary Sheeja has continuously been involved in work preparation which is evident through lesson plans, experiments, models, charts, transparencies, science exhibitions, lab work, lab work, and group discussions. The academic enterprise is further evidenced through the detailed approach to lesson plans, meticulous transparencies, training of teachers and trainers, and experiential learning through models displaying depth & expertise in her subject.

She has attended multiple trainings and seminars to further enrich quality teaching and learning processes. Her intellectual enterprise is further displayed by highly organized planners and multiple supporting activities. She has maintained precise diaries as a teacher and reflective practitioner to improve her practices in content management and pedagogies. Her action research diaries offer wider solutions to educators for educational issues.

She is the go-to person for mentoring, specifically being one to others. Her success as a mentor and advisor has positioned her as one of the most sought-aIer counsellors in her school. She values the opportunity to share the wisdom and experience she has gained to help other women build a path through this complex environment.
