Rajendra Pichai, the CEO of Google, occasionally uses an Apple iPhone.
During the Google I/O 2023, Sundar Pichai recently announced a new Pixel 7a along with Google's first foldable smartphone. The Google Pixel 7a serves the mid-range market, while the Google Pixel Fold is the company's premium product. The CEO of one of the biggest tech companies in the world is not using the newest model of his own company's flagship phone, despite what one could easily think. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, said that while he has been using the Pixel Fold for testing, it is not his main phone. Pichai also disclosed that he occasionally switched between using an Apple iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy phone.
Speaking to well-known YouTuber Arun Maini, a.k.a. "Mrwhosetheboss," Pichai said that his main smartphone at the moment is the Google Pixel 7 Pro. When asked which phone he uses most frequently, Sundar Pichai responded, "Right now it's the Pixel 7 Pro, but I'm testing, I use everything - from Samsung Galaxy to the upcoming Pixel Fold to the iPhone." In addition, he disclosed that he utilises various SIM cards for his many phones.
Pichai stated that the Google Pixel 7 Pro is lighter than the new Pixel Fold, thus he prefers to use it as his main smartphone. Pichai remarked, "Well, I'd rather take a lighter phone if I'm simply travelling and I'm busy in a day and all I'm doing is pulling out my phone and quickly reading email.
The market for foldable smartphones has shown rapid expansion in recent years. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold phone predominates the market in considerable part, although other phone makers have also entered to gain market share. The introduction of Google Pixel Fold is a notable boost for the market for foldable phones and a worthy competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. The Google Pixel Fold sports a clamshell form similar to the well-liked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, but it looks like a more contemporary Pixel phone.
