Keerthy Suresh, a National Award-winning actor, has tested positive for COVID-19. On Tuesday, she released a message in which she said: "Hello, everyone. Despite taking all essential precautions and safety measures, I tested positive for COVID-19 and am having moderate symptoms, which is a frightening reminder of the virus's rapid spread. Please adhere to all COVID safety guidelines and stay safe." The actress, who is 29 years old, wrote: "Please get everyone who have had close touch with me tested. If you haven't been vaccinated yet, please do so as soon as possible to avoid severe symptoms and improve your and your family's health. I'm hoping for a quick recovery and to be back in action as soon as possible."

Keerthy Suresh, who earned a National Award for her role in the Telugu film Mahanati, was recently seen in the Amazon Prime thriller Penguin. She was last seen in the Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe. The actress also starred alongside Mohanlal in the Malayalam film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.

Keerthy, the daughter of producer G Suresh Kumar and actress Menaka, has appeared in a number of films as a child actor. Her first leading part, however, was in the Malayalam film Geethaanjali, released in 2013. Ring Master, Manmadhudu 2, Sandakozhi 2, Idhu Enna Maayam, Rajini Murugan, Remo, and Nenu Sailaja, to name a few, were among her later films.
