Dr. Pratit Samdhani, who leads the team of doctors treating Mangeshkar, said she was taken to the hospital early on Sunday morning with Covid-19 and pneumonia.

"Lata taai has tested positive for Covid-19, and doctors advised us to admit her in the ICU because she needed constant care," her niece Rachna Shah told indianexpress.com.
