PM Modi inquires of BJP chief Nadda following his return from an overseas trip, "What's happening in India?"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioned BJP president J P Nadda and other leaders what was going on in India upon his return from his international trip, according to party leaders who went to see him at the airport in New Delhi.

After a six-day trip to the US and Egypt during which he signed a number of historic accords, Modi flew back to India in the early hours of Monday.

BJP leader Nadda and Union Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi met him at the airport in Delhi. There were also BJP officials and Delhi-based party lawmakers like Harsh Vardhan, Hans Raj Hans, and Gautam Gambhir.

When asked what the prime minister asked them after meeting them at the airport, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari responded, "He asked Nadda ji how it is going here and Nadda ji told him that party leaders were reaching out to people with the report card of the nine years of his government and the country is happy."

According to BJP Member Parvesh Verma, who was speaking to reporters, the prime minister inquired about the state of the nation and the party's public outreach initiative.
