Today's rally in Rajasthan will start the BJP's celebration of nine years in power.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today launch the BJP's mass connect campaign from Rajasthan, marking the Central government's completion of nine years in office.
Today, PM Modi will hold a sizable rally in Ajmer, Rajasthan, to kick off the party's month-long campaign.

Before taking a flight to Ajmer, the prime minister will visit the Brahma temple in Pushkar, according to party sources.

At a time when the state is embroiled in a power struggle between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot, the BJP has chosen Rajasthan to kick off its major campaign.

The day before PM Modi's rally, Mr. Gehlot and Mr. Pilot met with Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, the leaders of the Congress, in Delhi to settle a dispute that could jeopardise the party's chances in upcoming state elections.

The Prime Minister stated Wednesday that every choice made during the previous nine years was made to "better people's lives."

Senior BJP leaders will speak at 51 rallies across the nation over the course of the next 30 days.

At the Lok Sabha level, 500 public meetings, according to the party, would be organised.

Party members will connect with more than five lakh families—roughly 1,000 in each Lok Sabha constituency—across the nation, according to Tarun Chugh, campaign coordinator.

The 543 Lok Sabha seats have been broken up by the party into 144 clusters, each with three to four constituencies.

According to Mr. Chugh, two top party leaders, including ministers, would spend eight days in each cluster holding various programmes with diverse societal groups. They will also deliver the government's scorecard on governance and the welfare of the poor.

The opposition parties boycotted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sunday inauguration of the new Parliament building.

He praised some of the construction workers and referred to the new structure as a "temple of democracy."
