Pilitaxi is a marketplace for elevated everyday essentials, that curates emerging homegrown brands spanning Artisanal based goodness like clothing, accessories, wellness,  home decor and more. The name is derived from the iconic yellow taxis of Kolkata, the city from which it started its journey back in 2021. After the completion of two and a half years, Pilitaxi has already imprinted its footprints in cities like Bangalore and Bombay as well, while it aims to set its footprint on cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad and more in the new year.  They are creating an offline exhibition where people can connect with talented designers and artisans directly to learn about artisans’ stories across India. Pili Taxi is currently working on creating an online marketplace to spotlight the little-known artisanal brands and sustainable brands that deserve worldwide attention. 

Pili Taxi is committed to bettering the world through its fashion and lifestyle marketplace; making mindful shopping easier with the best ethical, affordable alternative branded products. In the age of fast fashion, it's a challenge to convince people to shift to environmentally friendly products. Our vision is to help consumers make more mindful choices so that they buy less and instead invest in a durable, quality design that supports people’s values. 

The initiative started in 2021 with 20+ women entrepreneurs to create a marketplace for them to showcase their work. Pilitaxi now stands strong after the completion of 10th successful edition with more than 150+ brands in Kolkata, Bangalore, and Mumbai. The Pilitaxi community is more than 15K+ audiences strong across India. Next, they are planning to touch Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Delhi. Their future goal is to expand the concept to offline stores in different cities along with an online marketplace (PILITAXI.COM) where sustainable brands can showcase their work and reach out to a larger audience.
