The Cyberabad police have ordered businesses to permit their employees to log off gradually after recordings of the major traffic jams caused by heavy rains in Hyderabad went viral in order to avoid more traffic congestion as the IMD has forecast more heavy rain until August 1. They also suggested that IT firms permit their staff to work remotely during this time.

Based on the route and time, the police even recommended the three phases. "In light of the IMD's prognosis for heavy rains today and tomorrow, Cyberabad Police has advised that enterprises should resort to phase-wise logouts of personnel on certain sections to minimise traffic congestion," read an advisory from the deputy commissioner of police, Madhapur zone, Cyberabad.

Companies near IKEA who choose to log out in phase two must do so by 4:30 p.m. to Biodiversity and Raidurgam. All the businesses in Knowledge City, Knowledge Park, T Hub, Galaxy, LTI, Twitza, Commerzome, RMZ Nexity, Skyview 10 & 20, Diyashree Orion, and Ascendas are included.

Employees in the Financial District/Gachibowli must check off between 3 and 6 p.m. during phase 3.

The statement comes as the western area of Hyderabad has been experiencing horrific traffic jams during evening rush hour, leaving drivers stranded in their cars for hours. Recent viral videos of the traffic have gone viral.

Due to the city's constant rain, the police had difficulty directing traffic during rush hour.
