Hyderabad stalker who attempted to slit a woman's throat was apprehended after being roughed up by onlookers.

On Monday in Hyderabad, a stalker allegedly attempted to slit a woman's throat but was stopped by vigilant bystanders who roughed him up. The suspect, identified as local resident and private guard Kishore Kumar, was promptly detained by the SR Nagar police.

According to the police, the woman was admitted to a hospital and her condition is stable. Social internet is awash with videos of the incident.

In accordance with the police, the event happened in Borabanda at about 5:00 pm. According to the investigators, Kishore had been pursuing the 30-year-old victim, a domestic helper, with love feelings for some time.

The woman was riding her scooter in Borabanda on Monday night when Kishore followed her on his two-wheeler and stopped her, according to the police. He pulled her onto the street after they got into a fight. Then Kishore pulled a knife from his pocket and attempted to slit her throat. As the bleeding woman sobbed in pain, a crowd gathered.

Videos of the event have gone viral, showing an enraged Kishore brandishing a knife as others surround him with sticks and rods as the victim sobs on the pavement. The woman herself identifies the accused as Kishore in another video.

A police officer stated that Kishore was agitated because the woman had started to avoid him and that he had decided to kill her, thinking that she was going to marry someone else. "The crowd stopped him from further attacking the woman," the officer added.

Under Indian Penal Code Section 307 (attempt to murder), a FIR has been filed against Kishore.
