Rain in Hyderabad: Orders are not being accepted by food delivery services

Hyderabad: The city has seen nonstop rain for the past three days, and residents are frustrated because food delivery services are refusing to take their orders. They have been defying orders despite the heavy downpour that has caused enormous traffic congestion and waterlogged roadways throughout Hyderabad.

Zomato leaves a message saying, "We are not presently accepting online orders, we'll be back soon," while Swiggy displays a notice saying all of their delivery partners are busy when consumers are trying to place their orders on the apps.

Peak wait times for taxis and cars:

Many people were hours late for work or other appointments due to the congested roads and massive traffic congestion, which also caused cab and car drivers to cancel rides.

Due to the severe rain, commuters had to wait for up to an hour or longer to get a ride to transport them to their destination. The dramatic increase in the cost of using the applications to book a cab or an auto has also been a source of complaint from the public.

Even after commuters had waited for their cab or auto to arrive for about 30 minutes, the drivers have started cancelling trips, leaving them without a means of transportation to get to their destination.
