For the second time in her career, Deepika Padukone has been recognised at the TIME100 Impact Awards. On Monday night, she and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, attended the famous celebration hosted at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. Deepika took to Instagram Stories to share photos and videos from the awards ceremony, as well as express her thanks for the honour.
Deepika has now joined a long list of important scientists, politicians, activists, and artists who have received this accolade. Deepika is being honoured for the second time at the TIME100 Impact Awards. "A lot more work," she said when asked how this time is different from the first. A few years, a lot more work, and maybe a little more confidence."
Deepika also discussed what gives her optimism for the future. "People and their resiliency," she remarked. I believe the world has been through a lot and continues to go through a lot, but seeing people's tenacity and resilience gives me hope."
Deepika was accompanied by Ranveer Singh, who was there to support her as a devoted spouse on her special night.
