Despite anti-Ranbir protests, Brahmastra sells 1.30 lakh tickets, with the most expensive one costing Rs 2,200.
Since its announcement, Brahmastra has been in the headlines frequently. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 9 after a number of setbacks brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the most anticipated movies of the year is the one with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The movie also represents Ayan Mukerji's return to directing after a nine-year hiatus.
A portion of the internet appears to be furious with Ranbir, who has been the target of protests for his previous remark on beef-eating, while fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of Brahmastra.
Nevertheless, Pinkvilla reports that Brahmastra has sold 1.31 lakh tickets in national chains for the opening day till September 7 at midnight and 2.50 lakh plus tickets for the opening weekend in the three national chains. This is despite all boycott demands and protests. According to reports, the movie is up against titles like Tiger Zinda Hai, Sanju, Sultan, and Dangal.
NCR is now offering the most costly Brahmastra ticket. According to the prices listed on BookMyShow, a ticket to see Brahmastra at PVR Directors Cut in Vasant Kunj's Ambience Mall will set you back a hefty Rs 2,200 before fees.
