Liger by Vijay Deverakonda is set for OTT release; know the date and platform

Liger, directed by Puri Jagannath and starring Vijay Devarkonda and Ananya Pandey, was released in theatres on August 25. Reports of the OTT premiere were published on the first day of distribution, despite the fact that the movie fell short of audience expectations. The day has now also been verified.

The movie will be made available on Disney Plus Hotstar on September 30. The creators acquired digital rights even before the product was released. The platform reportedly paid a sizeable sum for the image, according to reports.

The movie only made over ten thousand dollars during the first two days of its release. Although it began with a little more than Rs 33 crore on day one, the numbers decreased to less than half the following day and have been dropping ever since.

Since day one, Liger's stats haven't been great. Every day that has passed has seen a decrease in the temperature. The eagerly awaited movie from Puri Jagannadh, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, was widely released to harsh reviews. A boycott problem has been raised in relation to the movie, which is seen as Devarakonda's pan-Indian launch vehicle. Trade watchers claim that despite Devarakonda's strong performance, the storyline was lacklustre.

Deverakonda made his Bollywood debut with this movie, and Ananya Panday made her Telugu debut. Ananya Panday plays the role of the stammering MMA fighter the actor plays in the movie. The protagonist's mother is portrayed by Ramya Krishnan, and Ronit Roy is his teacher.

Additionally, significant roles are played by Vishu Reddy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu in the film, and Mike Tyson makes a cameo appearance.
