Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has been in the film industry for 12 years, took to social media on Saturday morning to thank her admirers. Samantha made her feature film debut in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Telugu romantic film Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010, and her OTT debut last year with Raj and DK's The Family Man.

"I woke up this morning to find that I've completed 12 years in the Film Industry," Samantha wrote beside a handful of sun-drenched happy photos of herself on Instagram. It's been 12 years of unforgettable memories centered on Lights, Cameras, Action, and Unforgettable Moments. I'm overjoyed to have had such a wonderful voyage and to have had the best, most devoted followers on the planet! Let's hope my love affair with cinema never ends and continues to get stronger."

Samantha has appeared in over 40 films during her 12-year career. Eega, Mahanati, Mersal, 24, Dookudu, Rangasthalam, Super Deluxe, Oh! Baby and other films have featured her.

Samantha's personal life has also gotten a lot of attention. Samantha married Naga Chaitanya, a fellow actress, in 2017. Last year, though, the two announced their split.

Samantha was most recently seen in Pushpa The Rise's exclusive dance music, "Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava." Her career began with this song, which became her first hit. She's also excited for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, a Vignesh Shivan-directed film in which she'll be seen alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Samantha is also in the film Shaakuntalam, which was written and directed by Gunasekhar and stars Samantha as the eponymous character.
