Suhana-The Khushi's Archies, Anushka Sharma's Chakda Xpress, and Kareena Kapoor's Devotion of Suspect X are among the next films that Netflix has announced.
At a celebration in Mumbai for its 25th anniversary, Netflix unveiled the year's lineup of upcoming movies and television programmes. The Archies, Qala, Chakda Xpress, Khufiya, Jogi, Kathal, and the Hindi version of The Devotion of Suspect X are just a few of the high-profile films that the streaming giant offers in its library. More information about the titles will be revealed during a one-day event that includes panel discussions and sneak peeks.
The Archies, a production of Tiger Baby and directed by Zoya Akhtar, stars an ensemble cast, including Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, and Agastya Nanda, who makes his acting debut. Suhana Khan is the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, and Agastya Nanda is Amitabh Bachchan's grandson. The movie was intended to be a musical and is set in the 1960s. "Archies is set in a 1960s Anglo Indian community, and is situated in a fictionalised town of Riverdale," Akhtar stated during the event. It's fascinating to adapt the characters and introduce them in a feature picture because I grew up reading Archies.
Babil Khan, the son of actor Irrfan Khan, will make his acting debut in the Anvitaa Dutt-directed movie, which also stars Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee. The movie is a "wonderful, heartbreaking drama of a daughter who seeks her mother's affection," according to the description.
Bhaaga Chor Nikal
Sunny Kaushal and Yami Gautam will star in the movie. It is a suspense thriller that Amar Kaushik is credited with producing.
Monica Oh My Darling
Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, and Sikandar Kher all appear in the movie.
Plan A Plan B
Plan A Plan B, starring Riteish Deshmukh, tells the tale of a matchmaker (Tamannah Bhatia), who thinks marriage is for everyone but herself, and a successful divorce attorney with a secret.
Khufiya
Director Vishal Bhardwaj's Netflix thriller Khufiya, starring Tabu and Ali Fazal, has been referred to be his passion project. The movie is an espionage thriller, which Tabu previously described as "Vishal's dear project, which was originally conceptualised long ago but couldn't happen. It then began to pick up again after the pandemic. During Covid, we were casting for it. It's the world of intelligence, agents, and espionage, but not in the way that you might expect from a typical spy thriller.
Chakda Xpress
Based on the life of former Indian captain and fast bowler Jhulan Goswami, Anushka Sharma's comeback movie.
In Sujay Ghosh's adaptation of the same-named book by Japanese author Keigo Higashino, Kareena Kapoor is back together with Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.
