The film Ek Villain Returns, starring John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor, has a new release date.

Ek Villain Returns, the long-awaited sequel to the 2014 hit Ek Villain, will now be released on July 29, 2022. The film was originally set to be released on July 8. Ek Villain Returns is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by T-Series and Balaji Telefilms. It stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria.

"Ek Villain was my passion project and a labour of love," director Mohit Suri said in a statement. The amount of affection I still get for Ek Villain astounds me. With Ek Villain Returns, I'm sure the affection will just become stronger. And, while I can't say much about the movie.

The filmmaker stated in an interview with indianexpress.com. "The girls also portray villains in this film." Me and Ekta are attempting to create an entire cast of villains and characters that are all interconnected."

Half Girlfriend, Aashiqui 2, Murder 2, Zeher, and Kalyug are among the films directed by Mohit Suri. John Abhraham's first cooperation with the director is Ek Villain Returns. Arjun Kapoor previously collaborated with Mohit Suri on the film Half Girlfriend. In Mohit's most recent film, Malang, Disha Patani plays the protagonist.
