Actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni welcomed their first daughter this morning in Hyderabad, according to news reports from New Delhi. Both mother and child are doing well. Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad reported the baby's birth in a news release. The declaration reads: "Ram Charan Konidela and Upasana Kamineni Konidela welcomed a daughter on June 20, 2023 at the Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The mother and child are both doing nicely." Superstar Chiranjeevi, father of Ram Charan, and his family paid the new parents a visit today at the hospital to welcome the baby. We're anticipating a formal announcement from the new parents and family.

In December of last year, Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni announced their pregnancy. They wed in 2012. Since then, Upasana has discussed why the pair deferred fatherhood rather than jumping right into it. Also, she recently disclosed that following the birth of the child, she and Ram Charan would relocate to the home of his parents, Chiranjeevi and wife Surekha. Ram Charan, one of the two actors in the critically acclaimed historical epic RRR by SS Rajamouli, has had a phenomenal year professionally. With the song Naatu Naatu, RRR was awarded an Oscar and a Golden Globe, and Upasana attended both award ceremonies with her husband.
