Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, as well as other cast members from the blockbuster film franchise, will reunite for a special 20th anniversary TV retrospective, according to Warner Bros.

For Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts on the movie set in London where the first film was made, Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), director Chris Columbus, and other stars from the eight films will join them.

The HBO Max streaming platform will air the show on January 1st. AT&T Inc. owns Warner Bros. and HBO.

The cast will return to the original Hogwarts boarding school sets that were featured in the first film "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," which was released in November 2001 in the United Kingdom as "Philosopher's Stone."

The film series based on J.K. Rowling's tales about an orphaned boy with magical abilities grossed $7.8 billion worldwide.

The special is one of several 20th-anniversary events planned by Warner Bros., which also includes a TV quiz show hosted by Helen Mirren for Potter fans, which will feature cameo appearances by some of the actors and famous fans such as comedians Pete Davidson and Jay Leno.

"It's been a wonderful journey since the premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,' and seeing how it's blossomed into this remarkable interwoven universe has been magical to say the least," said Tom Ascheim, president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults, and Classics. "From the creative cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into this extraordinary film franchise to the devoted fans who continue to keep the Wizarding World spirit alive 20 years later, this retrospective is a tribute to everyone whose lives were touched by this cultural phenomenon."
