From one myth to the next: Amitabh is thanked by Kamal Haasan after the Project K announcement

The presence of iconic performer Kamal Haasan in the hotly awaited sci-fi thriller Project K starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone is not yet confirmed. The main cast and staff of the movie extended a warm greeting to the venerable actor-director, including Amitabh Bachchan, a giant in Hindi cinema.

"Hello Kamal.. nice working with you again.. it's been a while," Amitabh tweeted. In his response, Kamal praised Big B on Twitter. "Thank you for the affection Amit Ji @SrBachchan," Kamal tweeted in reply. In addition, Kamal stated that he is eager to work on Project K with Prabhas, producer Ashwini Dutt, director Nag Ashwin, actors Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, and music director Santhosh Narayanan.

In this expensive international film, Kamal is reportedly playing a bad guy. On January 12, 2024, Project K will be released in theatres as a special Sankranthi surprise for fans.

One of the largest projects to come out of India was already Project K, which stars Prabhas. It has become the biggest with Ulaga Nayagan's most recent addition, "Kamal Haasan."

Although it had been rumoured for a few weeks that Kamal was in discussions to join Project K, the formal confirmation only came yesterday.

Currently, Kamal Haasan is very occupied with his ongoing ventures and political aspirations. At this stage of his career, no one anticipated that he would appear in a Telugu movie.

According to insider accounts, Aswini Dutt persuaded Kamal Haasan to join the Project K cast. One of Tollywood's most esteemed senior producers, Aswini Dutt has a fantastic resume. He served as a mediator between Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Nag Ashwin, and it was because of him that this challenging task was completed. Even though he had his own set of assignments to work on, Kamal was unable to refuse Aswini Dutt.

Also, Project K is not your typical movie. It is a global film produced on a scale never previously seen. Kamal couldn't resist taking on such a massive production where he would get to work with A-listers like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone and play an awesome role.
