Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021, made India proud by winning the title and restoring the country's prestige after a 21-year hiatus. A video from the pageant has surfaced days after her win, in which host Steve Harvey asked her to perform her best animal impersonation on the global stage.

Sandhu was forced to impersonate a cat, which enraged netizens while other finalists bragged about their achievements. The host took Harnaaz Sandhu by surprise. Harvey said to her, "I've heard you can imitate a variety of animals quite well. We'd want to hear your greatest one." "Oh, my God, Steve," she responded, "I was not expecting to do this on the world stage."

"I have no choice but to do this," she explained. Harnaaz went on to say that she loves cats and would do her best to imitate one. "Everyone, brace yourselves," she urged.

Harnaaz is a Chandigarh native who represented India at the international beauty pageant. She began her modelling career by winning the Times Fresh Face award in 2017.

The diva, who is 21 years old, is now working on her Master's degree in Public Administration. She has won several pageants, including Femina Miss India Punjab 2019. She speaks Hindi, Punjabi, and English fluently and enjoys penning couplets in Punjabi, her home tongue.

India has won the title twice already, with Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.
