Producer Says Raj Kundra’s Arrest Won’t Affect Shilpa Shetty’s Hungama 2 Release

Shilpa Shetty returns to a full-fledged acting role in Hungama 2 after a 14-year absence. On July 23, the film will be released digitally.

Raj Kundra was detained on July 19 by Mumbai Police’s crime department in connection with a complaint filed against him for making pornographic videos and distributing them through various applications. Kundra is the spouse of actor Shilpa Shetty, who is making her comeback after 14 years with Hungama 2, which will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on July 23.

Producer Ratan Jain told News18 that the issue surrounding Raj Kundra will not influence his film. “Why should any of this prevent Hungama 2 from being released? Shilpa has not been booked, but her husband has. She is one of the film’s artists, and she has finished all of her work, including the promotion. Even the investigation agency stated that no active participation of Shilpa could be found, therefore I don’t understand why this should be a problem for our film. “It’s unfortunate that her name is being dragged when she has nothing to do with it,” Jain remarked.

Ratan is optimistic about the film’s success, saying, “We created a decent picture with an honest aim.” People will see the film because of its content, not because of the so-called “Shilpa Shetty issue.” We’re releasing the picture on time, and nothing has been harmed as a result of the incident.”

Jain goes on to say that an actor’s participation in the film has no bearing on the final product. “I’m not going to mention names, but I’ve worked with some of the greatest artists whose names have been linked to drug cases in the past. The officers summoned them for questioning, but no evidence was presented. It has also been forgotten by the public. The media is the only one that builds a frenzy out of thin air. Raj has been detained, although there is no evidence that what he was doing was illegal. We’ll talk about it when the verdict is handed out. Allow the law and the investigating agency to do their work and release all of their findings.”

“I haven’t gotten in touch with her,” he says when asked if he has spoken to her since her arrest. He continues, “It’s a family affair, and she’s going through her own problems, and I don’t want to bother her.”
