Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who announced her split from husband Naga Chaitanya earlier this month, is ready to make her first public appearance. Samantha will be a guest competitor on Jr NTR's Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu, the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. For three seasons, her ex-father-in-law, Nagarjuna, hosted the show.

Jr NTR welcomes Samantha to the show in a teaser video released on the Gemini TV Instagram account. She expresses her nervousness, to which he responds that she should anticipate it given her position on the famed 'hot seat.' While other candidates work their way up from 1000 to 1 crore on the show, Jr NTR quips that Samantha is already a crorepati who is starting with 1000. The special episode for Dussehra will run on October 14.

Samantha announced her separation from Naga Chaitanya in a social media message earlier this month, ending weeks of speculation. "Thank you to all of our well-wishers. Chay and I have decided to separate as husband and wife to pursue our individual paths after much study and thought. We were lucky to have a friendship that lasted over a decade and was at the heart of our relationship, and we feel it will always hold a special place in our hearts. We ask that our supporters, well-wishers, and the media stand with us at this trying time and give us the privacy we require to move forward. "I appreciate your help," she wrote.

She denounced rumors about her that have been circulating since the breakup announcement over the weekend. "I'm overwhelmed by your emotional commitment in a personal crisis. Thank you all for your great empathy, concern, and for standing up for me in the face of false rumors and stories. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, am an opportunist, and now that I've had abortions," she posted on social media, adding, "A divorce is a tremendously traumatic process in and of itself." Let alone giving me the opportunity to heal. This personal attack on me has been relentless. But I guarantee you, this, or whatever else they say, will never break me."

In 2017, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya married. Last week would have been their fourth wedding anniversary.
