India reported 9,629 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours on Wednesday, an increase of about 3,000 cases from Tuesday. There are now 61,013 active cases in the nation.


According to data from the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, India recorded 6,660 Covid infections in one day, while the number of active cases dropped to 63,380. The data updated at 8 am showed that the death toll rose to 5,31,369 with 24 deaths, nine of which Kerala reconciled.

The weekly positivity rate was calculated to be 5.42 percent, while the daily positivity rate was 3.52 percent. The total for the Covid case was 4.49 crore.

At this time, 0.14 percent of the total cases are active.
