Oath-taking ceremony in Karnataka At 12.30 p.m. today in Bengaluru, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar will take the oath of office as chief minister and deputy chief minister, respectively.

The incoming chief minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, and his deputy, DK Shivakumar, met with Sonia Gandhi on Friday to discuss all potential candidates for the cabinet and to formally invite the Congress high command to the swearing-in ceremony on Saturday.

The visit took place the day after SiddAround 12.30 p.m. on Saturday at Bengaluru's Kanteerava Stadium, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar will take their oaths as chief minister and deputy chief minister, respectively, alongside a few other ministers.aramaiah was formally elected as the leader of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) at its meeting on Thursday. He then went to the governor's office where he was given the opportunity to establish the next Karnataka government.

The swearing-in of Siddaramaiah as Chief Minister and D K Shivakumar as Deputy Chief Minister will take place on Saturday, and several prominent opposition leaders and Chief Ministers of states governed by the Congress will be present. The grand old party wants to foster opposition unity ahead of the Lok Sabha elections next year.

In the 224-member Karnataka Assembly elections held on May 10, the Congress won 135 seats, ousting the BJP, which received 66 seats. The Janata Dal (Secular), on the other hand, won 19 seats. The results were announced on May 13.

According to a party spokeswoman, Samajwadi Party (SP) chairman Akhilesh Yadav has said that he will not be present for Siddaramaiah's swearing-in as chief minister of Karnataka.

Outside of DK Shivakumar's Bangalore home, supporters and police officers are gathered. He has been named the deputy chief minister of Karnataka. Today will see the ceremonial swearing-in.
