After a bus catches fire on the Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra, 25 people perish.

Around 1.30 am, close to Pimpalkhuta hamlet, a private travels bus was travelling from Nagpur to Pune when it collided with a pole and a barrier, according to police. According to police, the bus caught fire and turned turtle.

MUMBAI: The truck they were riding in caught fire in the early hours of Saturday, leaving at least 25 people—including three children—charred to death and eight others hurt.

The 33-passenger private bus was travelling from Nagpur to Pune when it crashed into a divider at 1.30 am near Sindkhedraja in the Buldhana district, according to police.

SP Buldhana According to early reports, a bus tyre ruptured, causing the vehicle to crash into a pole, strike a divider and catch fire, Sunil Kadasne told PTI. The official stated that all of the passengers were asleep at the time of the collision and added that the driver was unharmed.

According to the official, 25 of the bus' 33 occupants were killed by the flames. He added that the remaining eight passengers had been taken urgently to Buldhana Civic Hospital and were secure. There are further studies under progress.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, said after the incident that the family of each person killed in the serious accident will receive Rs 5 lakh in compensation.
