CBI: Jagan Reddy Was Aware of Uncle's Death Before Public

Hyderabad: The death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's uncle and former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy was known to him long before the news reached the general public, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) testified in court on Friday.
In response to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy's request for anticipatory release, the investigation agency made the revelations in an affidavit submitted to the Telangana High Court.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's cousin and YS Avinash Reddy's nephew, both of whom were involved in the shocking murder that occurred nearly four years ago, are currently the subject of an investigation by the CBI.

The event occurs while Jagan Reddy is in Delhi for a meeting of the Niti Aayog and tomorrow's opening of the new parliament building.

On the evening of March 15, 2019, Vivekananda Reddy, one of the brothers of the late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, was discovered dead at his home. The murder occurred just weeks before the state's Assembly elections.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the state CID initially looked into the murder case before turning it over to the CBI in July 2020.

On October 26, 2021, the CBI submitted a charge sheet in the murder case. On January 31, 2022, it was followed by a supplemental charge sheet.
