On July 4, the Goa government announced a week-long extension of the COVID-19 curfew across the state until July 12, as well as a few relaxations in restrictions.

On July 4, state Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced relaxations, which will last till July 12.

  • Social, political, and cultural meetings were limited to 100 persons, or half of the venue’s capacity.
  • Up to 100 persons or 50% of the venue capacity is allowed for weddings and other gatherings.
  • Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., bars and restaurants are permitted to operate at 50% capacity.
  • Buses are only permitted to run at 50% capacity for certain responsibilities and medical situations.
  • Medical stores, pharmacies, and health-care facilities, as well as institutions, are permitted to operate.
  • Shops in municipal or panchayat buildings are permitted to open between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • All products, excluding liquor, are eligible for home delivery.
  • Banks, insurance companies, customs clearing companies, ATMs, and microfinance institutions are all permitted to operate.
  • Retail, e-commerce, cold storage, and warehousing establishments that are part of the supply chain are permitted to operate.
  • At-house canteens in approved organizations/companies that are solely open to in-house employees.
  • Industries and activities linked to them are permitted.
  • Construction activities, such as repair work and shops associated with this work, are permitted.
  • Agricultural and agricultural-related activities are permitted.
