In the 2019 elections, revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, a member of the BC group, announced the list of MLA candidates, while SC leader Nandigam Suresh revealed the list of MP candidates. Following tradition, MP Suresh presented the list with 24 names this time as well. According to them, the YSRC supports social justice (saamajika sadhikarata) by appointing candidates who fairly represent women, minorities, and BCs. They emphasized that 153 of the candidates, or 77% of the total, are graduates or post-graduates. Minority communities, including BCs, SCs, and STs, have received more than half of the total seats, including the MLA and MP. Minority communities represent around 100 seats (16 MP and 84 MLA seats combined).
