Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight is delayed by two hours due to a bomb threat.
A man who was headed to Dubai was detained on Thursday night at the Delhi airport after being overheard talking about a "bomb" in his backpack.
The man was detained by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) after a female co-passenger said she overheard him utter "bomb" during a telephone conversation. The incident occurred on board a Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight.
The problem occurred at 4.55 p.m., delaying the trip by two hours.
The passenger was travelling to Dubai and had been speaking to his mother, according to a senior police official. The official claimed that the traveller had told his mother that airport security had prevented him from bringing a coconut into the building out of concern that it might be packed with explosives.
When she heard the term "bomb," the female co-traveler became alarmed and raised the alarm.
After deboarding, both passengers were searched thoroughly, but nothing was discovered. After that, the male passenger was turned over to neighbourhood police officers.
