Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India, was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday due to weakness and weariness.

For the past few days, the senior Congress politician, who turned 89 last month, has been receiving treatment at home for a fever.

On Wednesday, he was admitted to AIIMS for observation.

Singh had also been taken to AIIMS after catching the coronavirus in April. He was admitted to the hospital again a month later due to unease.

According to Singh's office, he did not have a fever on Wednesday, but he was weary and weak. Fluids will be given to him for energy, according to the report.

The Congress, denying rumors concerning the former Prime Minister's health, stated he was fine.

"There have been some unverified rumors about former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji's health. His health is in good hands. He is currently having standard medical care. We'll let you know if there are any changes. Pranav Jha, AICC secretary in charge of the communication department, tweeted, "We thank our friends in the media for their concern."

“I am concerned about former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji's health, who has been admitted to the hospital. My prayers and best wishes are with him for a quick recovery. "May he recover quickly," he tweeted.
