A low-pressure area has formed over the northeast Bay of Bengal, which will likely cause light to heavy rainfall in a number of locations in east, northeast, and south India over the next 36 hours as the extremely severe cyclonic storm "Biparjoy" moves north-northeastward over the course of two days.

East India: From June 11 to June 13, very heavy rainfall is predicted in a few isolated locations over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Warning for heatwave: Certain areas of Bihar are extremely likely to experience heatwave to severe heatwave conditions until June 11.

Also, it is extremely possible that isolated pockets of the heatwave will persist across Gangetic West Bengal till June 13, as well as over Odisha and Jharkhand until June 12.
