In 11 districts of Andhra Pradesh, the Covid curfew has been relaxed.
From July 8, the Andhra Pradesh government would modify Covid curfew times in 11 districts, according to the state government. The Chief Minister’s Office said in a tweet that the curfew will be eased in all districts save two beginning Thursday (8 July). Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy said during a review meeting that cinemas, restaurants, and gyms should follow Covid standards.
The Chief Minister also told the officers that teachers should be given first priority in vaccinations and that all government personnel should be vaccinated.
Covid restrictions would be in place in both the East and West Godavari districts till the positive rate falls below 5.
The curfew will now be enforced from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the 11 districts.
The businesses, on the other hand, have been told to close by 9 p.m.
The state administration has given permission for theatres, restaurants, gyms, and function halls to operate while adhering to all regulations. These locations will be required to maintain a two-seat minimum spacing. The curfew in the other two districts will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the CM’s office.
In a single day, six new Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in Chittoor, five in Krishna, four in East Godavari, three each in Kurnool and Prakasam, and two in Anantapuramu. Each of the five districts reported one fatality.
