Following the Wednesday derailment of the North East Express in Bihar, at least four persons were killed and almost 100 others were hurt. An official said that the event happened about 9.35 p.m. nearby Raghunathpur station in Buxar. The train was travelling to Kamakhya near Guwahati in Assam when it left Anand Vihar Terminus in Delhi.
Speaking to NDTV about the event, Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey stated that teams from the federal and state disaster response agencies have arrived at the scene.


He said that the injured individuals would be sent to AIIMS, Patna.

The Health Department, the Disaster Management Department, and the district officials of Buxar and Bhojpur have all been contacted, according to Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, to expedite the relief and rescue efforts. 

According to the office of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, they are "closely monitoring the unfortunate derailment" of the train near Raghunathpur. 

They continued by saying they were in contact with other agencies as well as the Buxar district government.
