Ray Stevenson, a well-known worldwide actor, went away unexpectedly on Sunday in Italy, leaving his friends and colleagues in shock. Ruth Gemmell, an actress and his ex-wife, survived him at the age of 58. The untimely death's official cause has not yet been disclosed.

Stevenson, who was born on May 25, 1964, in Northern Ireland, started out as a TV actor in the 1990s before securing action parts in Hollywood movies. He has appeared in the films "King Arthur," "Punisher: War Zone," "The Three Musketeers," and the first three "Thor" films, where he played Volstagg, the hero's ally.
