Watch as the first Vande Bharat High-Speed Train passes the site of the Odisha Rail Disaster
Odisha's Balasore: After the triple train accident, the Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express, the first high-speed passenger train, passed through Balasore this morning on restored tracks, according to officials.
Around 9:30 this morning, they claimed, the Vande Bharat Express passed through the Bahanaga Bazar Station.
According to the officials, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was present at the accident scene and waved to the drivers as the semi-high speed train passed by.
According to Mr Vaishnaw, the restoration work on the up line and down line tracks was finished on Sunday night.
Around 10.40 p.m. on Sunday, a coal-filled goods train travelled from Vizag Port to Rourkela Steel Factory. On the same track, a goods train travelled. Trains are moving slowly through the accident scene.
At 7 p.m. on June 2, the Coromandel Express struck a stopped goods train, derailing the majority of its coaches.
The final few coaches of the Bengaluru-Howrah Express, which was passing by at the same time, were knocked over by a few Coromandel coaches.
The three-train disaster may have been caused by human error, signal failure, or other factors, according to investigators.
