Will Destroy Ambience": Victim of Rape Refused to Take Class 12 Board Exams

However, the Ajmer private school claims that because the student had missed four months of courses, they did not issue her an entrance card.

She was informed by administrators that she was no longer a student at the school when she went to pick up her admission card. It dawned on her then that the school had denied her entry right after the rape because other pupils' parents didn't want her there. "The girl told me she was depressed since she is a good student when I chatted with her. Anjali Sharma told NDTV that her class 10 board exam grade was 79%. "The girl could have done well if she had appeared for her 12th boards, but she may lose a year due to the school's negligence," she stated.

Ajmer: A Rajasthani class 12 student said that since she had been gang-raped the previous year, her school had forbidden her from taking the board exams. In her complaint, the student claimed that she was informed by school administrators that her presence on the exam would ruin the "atmosphere."

However, the Ajmer private school asserts that since the student had missed four months of sessions, they never issued her an admission card.

The youngster brought up the issue with a teacher at a different school, who suggested that she give the child hotline a call. Following the probe, the Child Welfare Commission (CWC) of Ajmer has filed a complaint and will take the appropriate steps.

Anjali Sharma, the chair of the CWC, stated that she had discussed the entire episode with the student. She stated that arranging for the girl to retake the examinations she missed in March is their first priority, even while the inquiry is ongoing.

In October of last year, the student was sexually assaulted by her uncle and two other guys. She informed Anjali Sharma that the school had then advised her to study at home since she may "spoil the atmosphere" by attending. She had been studying at home for her board examinations, and she had consented.
