Bhavina Patel of India easily advanced to the women's singles class 3-5 para table tennis final on Friday, guaranteeing herself a gold at the Commonwealth Games.
To secure her final spot, the Tokyo Paralympics silver medalist destroyed Sue Bailey of England 11-6 11-6 11-6.
Christiana Ikpeoyi of Nigeria will compete against the 35-year-old Gujarat paddler in the championship round on Saturday.
On the other hand, Sonalben Patel lost to Ikpeoyi 11-8 6-11 4-11 7-11. She will now compete against Bailey for the bronze medal.
In the men's 3-5 class semifinal, Raj Aravindan Alagar fell to Nigerian Nasiru Sule 11-7 8-11 4-11 7-11.
He will now compete against Nigerian Isau Ogunkunle on Sunday for the bronze medal.
