With a funny incident involving the Australia batsman on Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final versus India at The Oval on Friday, Marnus Labuschagne became the focus of countless jokes and memes. In the beginning of Australia's second innings, Labuschagne was reclining in a chair inside the dressing room, and the camera captured him dozing off eventually. The dismissal of David Warner, however, interrupted his slumber, and as he was the next batter, he hastily prepared and hurried to the field. The incident generated a number of humorous memes and insightful responses from a large number of social media users when it went popular on the internet.

On the third day of the World Test Championship final versus India, Australia achieved 123 for four at stumps in their second innings to increase the overall lead to 296 runs.

Marnus Labuschagne and Cameron Green were batting at stumps with scores of 41 and 7, respectively.

India lost KS Bharat early when they resumed on 151 for 5, but Ajinkya Rahane (89) and Shardul Thakur (51), who had contributed 109 runs for the seventh wicket, kept their team from going into extra innings at The Oval.

To finish at 296 in 69.4 overs, India lost the final few wickets swiftly after lunch.

Pat Cummins, the team's captain, took three wickets for Australia, while Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland, and Cameron Green each took two.
