KS Bharat will probably wear the gloves for Team India in the WTC Final.

Star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant won't be available for Team India in the next World Test Championship (WTC) final. Pant was hurt in a car accident last year, and ever since then, he has been making progress towards recovery. Ishan Kishan, a rookie, will serve as the backup wicketkeeper while KS Bharat keeps the gloves. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh believes Wriddhiman Saha might have taken KS Bharat's place as the wicketkeeper in the WTC final matchup against Australia.

"I don't believe so, no. KS Bharat currently represents India on the pitch. I would say to cast Wriddhiman Saha if he were there. He is a superior goalie and has more experience. I would have chosen to play KL Rahul over KS Bharat if he had been in shape "Harbhajan was reported as stating by the Indian Express.

Saha, who participated for Gujarat Titans in the just finished IPL 2023, hasn't on the pitch for India in a Test match since last February.

Kishan's selection proved that Shiv Sunder Das' committee has chosen continuity over Saha, who many believed would receive a call-up for the one-off game despite having a fantastic IPL season.

There was no chance that the soon-to-be 39-year-old veteran would have been appointed as the successor once Saha was explicitly informed last year that he would no longer be selected for national duty since they wanted someone younger to serve as Rishabh Pant's deputy.

The following players will represent India in the World Tennis Championship final: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat (wk).

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mukesh Kumar, and Suryakumar Yadav are available players.
