WhatsApp’s Android app has been found with upload quality capabilities. Before uploading a photo or video on WhatsApp, users will be able to choose the quality of the upload.

Sharing images and videos over WhatsApp often creates a problem as the popular messaging application reduces the size of images and videos, which results in the loss of quality. However, this problem might be resolved soon. According to recent reports, WhatsApp is working on a feature that enables users to send images and videos without compressing them. It would not only avoid the loss of detail in images but also allow users to send clear and crisp videos over the platform. Keep reading to know more about the upcoming WhatsApp feature.

WhatsApp ‘upload quality’ feature spotted for both images and videos

A WhatsApp user may choose from three alternatives while utilizing the feature: Auto, Best Quality, and Data Saver. The section’s photos are screenshots of Android smartphones with the upload quality function enabled. The functionality will be available for both video and picture messages delivered using WhatsApp. Both the features that are presently in development and testing have been activated for beta users, according to WABetaInfo. According to the publisher, these capabilities are being developed initially for WhatsApp’s Android app, but because WhatsApp is a cross-platform messaging service, an iOS version will not be long behind. These settings will work for conversations, groups, and broadcasts, according to WABetaInfro.

To avoid data loss, users must currently transmit material using Document form.

Currently, a user must provide a picture in document format if they wish to share it at its original size (to minimize data loss). The document format offered on WhatsApp can also send video up to 100Mb, however, the size limit is too tiny for several circumstances. As more people utilize digital services to interact and exchange data, the upload quality function is becoming more important. WaBetaInfo keeps track of such WhatsApp changes and alerts users ahead of the official debut. Multi-device compatibility was another feature that was recently discovered and confirmed.
